Sooo hi. It’s Claire. I like cooking, wrapping up in a blanket and doing stuff outdoors. I spend some of my time at soccer and nordic ski practice (even though I have cold air asthma ooOo!) This means I’m constantly sick. If I’m not doing those things I’m spending my time being really talkative or being confused by simple concepts :)

Juniors Yoni Potter, Maggie Klein and Amelia Ryan help work the election information booth at the Children First Ice Cream Social and Kids Garage Sale. The ROC held Park Spanish Immersion dances, free ice cream and community tables May 9.

Trees by the parking lot were cut down to renovate the tennis courts. Construction started May 4 to rip out the existing courts and put down new soil. Activities director Andy Ewald said the deadline for the construction is Aug. 5.

Students listen to a speaker for the Black History Month presentation March 8. The presentation proved that very little change has been made in the treatment of people of color. Last year's presentation was based on black history not starting with slavery which is what most schools teach.

Sophomore Marit Gabel volunteers Feb. 2 to hand out beverages to the Loppet Classic Marathon skiers. Loppet hosts races for skiers, bikers and snowshoers with over 20 events throughout the weekend. Ski races range from the 1k Minne-Loppet to 37k marathon races.

Junior Bobby Doss joins a huddle to celebrate sophomore Austin Amelse's power play goal. The score was 6-1 with one goal in the first period, three in the second period and two in the last period. Park's next game is against Jefferson at 7 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Rec Center.

Sophomore Jack Wandmacher passes Bloomington Kennedy freshman Logan Dosan before shooting the puck. Wandmacher scored Park's first goal 12 minutes into the game and assisted the last goal against Kennedy Jan. 24.

Sophomore Drew Boyum looks for an open shot on Chanhassen. Park's overall record as of Jan. 19 is 7-8-0 with its most recent win being against Chanhassen. So far, Park is ranked last in the Metro West conference with one win and one loss.

Junior Avery Pittman attacks open space with the puck. Pittman scored two of his seven season goals against Chanhassen. Pittman also has six assists totaled as of Jan. 19. Park beat Chanhassen 4-1 at the Rec Center Jan. 19.

Sophomore Jack Wandmacher looks for an open player near the net. Attempting to block his next move are Chanhassen seniors Preston Willier and Thomas Clauson. Wandmacher is leading Park in goals and assists as of Jan. 19 with nine of each.

Senior John Meyer gets the puck and brings it up the rink in an attempt to score. Park's record as of Jan. 5 is 6-6-0. It's next game is against Chaska Jan. 10.

Junior Jacob Young blocks a shot as the last player before keeper William Pinney. Edina had 37 shots on goal and Pinney saved all but 8, leaving his save percentage at 78 percent.
