My name is Yonah Davis, but I am more commonly known as the king of broadcast. My life consists of baking cookies for teachers and editing videos. If you have ever seen Repose Gray by Sherwin Williams, you probably know who I am. In my free time I love drawing random buildings — don’t forget my straight edge! As a bee keeping family, the Franklin's posted a sign in their front yard expressing their support of bees.

Suited up in her gear, sophmore Alanna Franklin prepares to open her hives and scrape Propolis from the surface.

Honey bees cluster together on the metal frame. Typically, honey bees are not aggressive but nevertheless, Franklin placed the frame on the ground a distance from where she was working.

Using a brush, Franklin swept the bees aside in order to access the frame.

With bees swarming around her and a honeycomb frame in hand, Franklin smiles from beneath her protective suit.

A lone honey bee rests on the bristles of Franklin's brush. She waits until the bee flies off to continue.

After harvesting 150 pounds of honey over the past season, unused frames sit stacked in the Franklins yard.

Equipped with a metal scraper, Franklin meticulously cleans the surface of the hive careful to avoid disturbing the bees.
